Confidence is the name of the game.
You can be confident when playing a sport you’re good at, or you can be confident when you’re talking about something really close to you. But how do you remain confident all the time?
This is what I wanted to be, confident no matter where I was and with whom. The result was these two simple, atomic and absurd principles.
Be truthful to yourself. Be honest about what you know and what you don’t. Be honest about what you are, where you are in life and where you’re going. Don’t make stuff up just to impress people. Don’t try to fit in. Be comfortable with who you are right now, wherever you are.
The less you appear to be trying, the better you do.
Fake it, fling it, do whatever, just don’t obsess over how you’re doing. People can tell when you’re trying too hard. Like when you can tell if someone is trying too hard. Trying too hard is unbecoming, comes off as insecure and needy. Complete antonyms of Confidence.
