Feature

Disaster recovery, fully in your control.

Venture-backed companies shut down every day, taking their users' data with them. Most productivity tools make exporting a nightmare, intentionally locking you in.

Owldo takes a hostile stance against lock-in. Our Vault Backup feature automatically mirrors your entire workspace to a local folder in standard, raw Markdown and JSON files. If Owldo disappears tomorrow, your data is already sitting on your hard drive.

Our Philosophy

We build sharp knives, not Swiss army knives.

Most productivity apps try to be everything for everyone, resulting in bloated, slow software. Owldo is deliberately opinionated. We built a fast, local-first tool strictly for people who think in prose and execute in deadlines.

Human-Readable Exports

A backup is useless if it is trapped in a proprietary database format. When Owldo backs up your Vault, it exports your notes as standard Markdown (.md) files, and your tasks as standard JSON. Even if Owldo ceases to exist tomorrow, you can read your backup using any basic text editor.

Automated Peace of Mind

You shouldn't have to remember to back up your data. Owldo handles this silently. You simply point the app to a folder on your machine (like an external drive or a Dropbox folder), and Owldo will periodically dump a full, versioned backup into it while you work.
