Cryptographic Source Protection
Promising a source anonymity means nothing if your notes are sitting in plain text on a Google server. If you use a standard cloud app, the tech company can hand over your data if legally compelled.
Owldo's End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) solves this. Your notes are encrypted locally on your device using a password you never share with us. Only the scrambled ciphertext touches our servers. We cannot hand over your notes, because we physically cannot read them.

Can anyone at Owldo read my E2EE notes?
No. The encryption happens on your local device. We never possess the decryption key.
Can I publish a story directly from the app?
Yes. If you write an op-ed or a newsletter piece, you can use the Publish feature to instantly generate a public web page from your Markdown draft.
